Fourth “Avengers” Filming Almost Done

After nearly a half-year in production, filming on Marvel Studios’ fourth “Avengers” movie is effectively done with directors Anthony and Joe Russo taking to social media to post a photo of the official cake for the film’s upcoming wrap party.

The cake, featuring the Mad Titan Thanos himself held up by the arms of Black Widow, Vision, and The Hulk, can be seen below. The shot comes as new set photos have arrived online from the film over at Just Jared that have raised some big questions – namely what is going on with their outfits.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD

Chris Evans’ Captain America, Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark, Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man and Mark Ruffalo’s The Hulk are all visible in the photos with each wearing a matching device on their hands.

Additionally, Evans is seen wearing the same version of his costume from the first “The Avengers” in 2012 while the other characters seem to be donning their 2017 gear and all have motion capture dots on them. This has led to speculation that the film could use time travel as a key story element.

It has been confirmed by actor Chris Hemsworth that the eye patch on his character of Thor in the films is, as it was in ‘Ragnarok,’ an entirely CG creation. The fourth “Avengers” film is currently set for a May 3rd 2019 release.
